“We are planning to increase our tomatoes’ acreage by the current 74 hectares to 230 in the coming season”

In the year 2015 Yigit was able to begin its climb within the agribusiness industry and acquired a total surface of 1,000 acres. In the year 2018, the initial section of Yigit’s “GREENHOUSE” greenhouse complex built covering a total area of 100,000 square meters and the capacity to produce 3600,000 kgs of different varieties of tomatoes per year. In 2019, too there was the building of two greenhouse complexes, each with a the total of 240,000 square meters was finished. In the wake of the successful implementation of the plans the greenhouse complex was extended by 400,000 square meters by 2022.

“Yigit contains 74 hectares of tomatoes under our control and in the next growing season, we’ll increase this to an area of 230ha. Our tomatoes are grown in greenhouses in the top places in sunny Turkmenistan, Kahka which is 120km away from the capital city Ashgabat as well as Dushak which is also 160 km away from capital Ashgabat.” explained Muhammetaly Gurbangeldiyev of the company.

The primary kinds include Marvelance as well as Medlis tomatoes growing on vines as well as there is the Juanita cherries.

“Turkmenistan is a good place to start producing high-quality products. I am able to say that we have every advantage and has environment and resources. In addition, for us, labor isn’t an issue since the complexes we have are situated in areas that are crowded and villages.”

Yigit produce tomatoes from the month of October through the end of June. The major market for exports at present include Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
