Ukrainian firm plans to collect the equivalent of 40 tonnes of raspberries in this season.

This year, VIAN 2021 that relocated to Zaporizhzhia (a region located in the southern part of Ukraine) in southern Ukraine to Mukachevo (western Ukraine), is planning to pick 40 tonnes of raspberries.

VIAN 2021 farms contain 5 hectares of blueberries as well as the raspberries, both of which are planted in open fields and 0.5 ha of both raspberries and strawberries that are grown inside tunnels. The firm also intends to increase its blueberry farms and to begin the cultivation of this berry inside greenhouses for an early harvest.

The fruits are picked by hand. The plantations are situated within the town of Lavky situated at an elevation that is more than 250m above sea level. The area offers breathtaking panoramic views.

“The job here is ongoing all year the harvesting process begins from the beginning of spring to when frosts begin. It’s now the time to harvest raspberries, and we expect farmers to collect more than 40 tons of the delicious berry in the coming year,” according to the report.
