There are significant decreases on EU potato production. Only 35% of the potatoes cleared Northern France and 15% in Normandy

Domestic consumption and retail sales remain in a steady state. A few progresses in liftings has been seen throughout the nation, but late plantations means that plants will require time. The conditions in Donegal have been reported as extremely difficult. There are also ongoing news reports of crops that were planted afterward particularly aren’t yielding at the same rate as was expected.

The lifting of crop residues continues throughout the continent. The rate of clearing in Northern France is reported to be at 35%, but it is slowing down due to rainfall. Rainy weather in Normandy is also causing delays in lifting, which is just 15 percent. In the last week, the progress of lifting in Holland was reported at 20%, but the lifting process for storage in Belgium isn’t getting up and running. Within the U.K. the yields being reported as disappointing when in comparison to the previous year.
