The volume of cherry harvests has increased dramatically, leading to the prices to drop sharply when compared with last week. It has triggered market activity. As an example that the Santina version 2.5kg 2J specifications are currently sold at a price of Y=350-Y=380 for a box. The two-in-one 2J model is priced at around 750 Y per box. This is 40 to 45 percent decrease over last week. The standard of these new products are excellent, much better than the previous year. Prices are comparable with the same time in the past, but with significant price cuts that are aimed at increasing sales. A lot of traders believe that the price reductions are helping smooth the flow of sales.

Peruvian blueberries have price differences dependent on the brand and varieties The overall cost decreased slightly from previous week. The sweet varieties are averaging Y=115-Y=120 for each box, while top brands priced at 10 to 15 percent higher. The Pop variety is steady at Y=130 for each box however the Ventura variation has decreased to Y=95-Y=100 for each box. The freshness of Peruvian blueberries is generally good.
