Between January and the end of Oct. 2024 Azerbaijan has exported 18,606 tons of pomegranates. This generated the sum of $16,400,000 according to ABC.AZ using State Customs Committee data. The figure represents the 5.8 percent increase in the volume in comparison to the same time last year, where 17,578 tons of pomegranates were shipped out. The value of the exports was the value decrease by 19.2 percent decrease from last year’s value of $20,301,000.
The price per kilo of Azerbaijani pomegranates was also reduced to $0.88 which is down from $1.15 during the initial ten weeks of 2023.
In addition, Azerbaijan exported 66,874 tons of apples during January through September 2024. The total was $42,637,000. This is an increase of 2.2 percent growth in the volume of exports as well as an increase of 3.6 percent growth in value over the exact same timeframe in 2023 which saw 65,419 tons of apple were shipped out worth $41,170,000.
The median price to export apples increased up to $1.06 per kilogram. This is which is up by $1.0 for 2023.
