“The need for banderoles has risen exponentially”

As with the previous Fachpack in Kempen, the Kempen-based packing company bandOlution is also on hand at the expoSE event in Karlsruhe in which they will showcase an assortment of its eco-friendly and eco-friendly range. “Our offerings continue to cover the various types of banderoles available, printed or not that are made for machines such as ATS, Bandall and Project&Service. We have however, slowly expanded our offerings and are now offering handle and adhesive tapes constructed from paper” Says the company’s co-founder and proprietor Andre Vois.

“Demand for banderoles increased rapidly over the past two years. We currently anticipate a significant increase of double-digit percent of sales during the financial year that is currently in. In the opinion of our customers the reason for this is because of our speed and our excellent price-performance ratio.” Says Vois who is at Karlsruhe as a co-exhibitor on the booth of his company partner A&P Schiffmann from Jork. “A&P provides the equipment and also provides the service and we deal primarily with the necessary materials. It makes sense to show with us.”

Alongside Kempen as the location of its office Kempen The young business bandOlution has also an office in the Alte Zeche business park near Kempen.

The selection of materials that are available for banderoles has recently been expanded. “We offer transparent materials that stretch, stretch and more. We are focusing on papers. Uniquely, we’ve offered one-sided coated banderoles that have an average plastic content of less than 5 percent for some period of time. They also work with many wet-based products, something that was a constant issue previously. The reason is that unlike other brands the banderoles we offer are water-based. So, even when the product gets water-based the seal will remain.”

The latest additions to the portfolio include new handles that are made from 100 percent paper. Vois: “We are now at the stage of commercially launching our first prototypes. Another benefit is that, in comparison with conventional products, this one is very stretch- and tear resistant. It is a fact that we can are seeing less of a potential application in the food and vegetable sector, however I would not exclude the possibility of launching web-based labels as well as other labels that are made from this type of material in the near future.” A further highlight of the business’s product portfolio is the adhesive tapes that are currently extensively used for food production and across many other industries.

The option of optimisation instead of expanding

“In the coming years our focus will shift less on expanding rather than enhancing our existing portfolio. It’s vital to us that we provide direct and industry marketers with current and efficient strategies. We are exhibitor at both Fachpack which is where the majority of industrial representatives can be at, and ExpoSE.” Vois concludes.
