The Colorado-grown onions are not associated with E. Coli outbreak

The Colorado Department of Agriculture is helping Colorado onion growers as the investigation into an ongoing E. E. coli outbreak is ongoing.

CDA collaborates with Federal and state allies, such as our federal partners, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), to assist in the investigation. We currently don’t have evidence suggesting that the onions that are that are grown in Colorado are being examined as the cause of the disease. CDA is certain that the produce grown in Colorado is safe for consumption.
