The Chinese are increasing the import of fruit and vegetables to the Primorsky Krai.

The first week of the month, agriculture supervisory specialists’ branch inspected nearly 5.9 million tons of fresh vegetables as well as fruits that were imported to Primorsky Krai region from China.

As per the agency the importation of fruits and vegetables has grown by an average of 628.1 tonnes in just a week. In the border crossings, experts examined the imports of 1.1 tons of tomatoes peppers, aubergines, zucchinis beets, as well as other veggies. 1.3 thousand tonnes of onion, 345 tonnes of cucumbers and 564 tonnes of carrots were brought in from China. Additionally, legumes, bell peppers and corn potatoes, and mushrooms as well as fresh salads, and greens were shipped into the region. Additionally, 721 tons fresh fruits were gathered.

The fact that the majority of the fruits found within Primorsky Krai were sourced out of Latin American and South African countries during the final week of April.
