Table grape production in Australia is expected to grow by 230,000 metric tonnes (MT) during the marketing year (MY) 2024/25. This is the second-highest recorded up from the estimated 195,000 MT in MY 2023/24. The record-breaking figure is due to the favorable seasonal conditions to date and the possibility that the conditions will remain favorable until the close of the harvest. This will result in premium table grapes for the coming year, and will increase the amount of quality grapes available to be sold on the market for export. This increase in production and the quality of grapes is expected to lead to the third highest export record in history of 135,000 MT in MY 2024/25. In addition, the projected increase in production is anticipated to result in a 10-percent increase in consumption domestically for the year 2024/25.
