Sunridge Citrus absorbs Juan Rubert and expands its selection of organic and conventional citrus fruit

Since the beginning of 2005 it has been the case that there have been numerous amalgamations of major citrus companies that have created large groups that are backed by private equity fund. The citrus industry continues to draw the attention of big investors, helping to facilitate the transformation of the industry.

In the present, the British firm Sunridge Partners, which created Sunridge Citrus Spain, its company Sunridge Citrus Spain for its commercial citrus venture in Spain and has recently absorbed the Nules-based firm Juan Rubert SL, one of the most famous Castellon citrus firms. This acquisition, which comes after the incorporation of the Valencia-based Albenfruit in 2020 and Andalusia’s Citricos Organicos Reunidos (CIOR) from March 2022. It is expanding the capacity of the company.
