Sheer Logistics acquires Cargobarn

Sheer Logistics, a provider of managed transportation services, 4PL freight brokerage, value-based logistics technology, TMS as well as Integration Platform as a Service (IPaaS) designed specifically for mid-market businesses It has recently made an announcement of the acquisition from CargoBarn, a tech-enabled third-party logistics company (3PL) located in Atlanta, GA. CargoBarn is a full-service truckload brokerage as well as expedited, drayage and a variety of other special services.

The acquisition will improve Sheer’s already existing 3PL and brokerage for freight offering with the addition of CargoBarn’s extensive and complimentary customers, vast transportation networks, sales and operational teams, as well as a geographical presence. It also adds to Sheer Logistics’ core 4PL/Managed Transportation Services. CargoBarn’s expertise in freight brokerage provides more depth and breadth the managed capacity solutions Sheer Logistics provides to many of its 4PL/Managed Transport Services clients. The new entity will operate eventually as a Sheer Logistics brand.
