Seafrigo is a business that specialises in the logistics of cold chain for food items, has launched its initial office in Vietnam. Fabian Hautiere has been appointed as the Managing Director, who will oversee Seafrigo’s operations within Vietnam.

The launch of a branch in Vietnam coincides with Seafrigo’s global expansion strategy, which aims to expand its presence in important areas. The new office is situated near Ho Chi Minh City, offering easy access to the major airports, ports as well as the largest exporters of fruit and seafood.
The Vietnam operations will concentrate on ocean and air logistics, assisting exports and imports. Vietnam is among the top-performing economies of Southeast Asia, with an average growth in GDP of 6.6% in the last fifteen years, not counting the COVID-19 period, which saw growth of 2.7 percentage. Vietnam also has signed Free Trade Agreements with the EU as well as Asia-Pacific countries, which makes the country a crucial location to facilitate international trade.
Fabian Hautiere brings extensive experience in his job, having been previously employed in the capacity of National Key Account Manager for Kuehne Nagel, specializing in consumer products. Also, he has an experience in the field of supply chain management being the Supply Chain Manager at an importer of fine foods in Vietnam in which he been for twelve years.
In announcing the launch of new business, Hautiere highlighted Vietnam’s production of specialty items like pangasius, shrimps dragon fruit, pangasius, and mangoes. These will be shipped to global markets by Seafrigo’s Cold Chain know-how. Basing his decision on his previous experience working in the Vietnamese market Hautiere said that his experience of Seafrigo’s offerings as an importer in the past made him an ideal leader for Seafrigo’s business operations within the country.
The opening of a new office opening in Vietnam is yet another milestone in Seafrigo’s effort to expand its logistics capabilities in vibrant and strategic markets that are strategically important.
