The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has issued an Indication Geographical of Sindhri and Chaunsa mango varieties that are recognized as items from Sindh, Pakistan.

As per Mehmood Nawaz Shah, vice president of Sindh Abadgar Board, this significant milestone has been reached because of the assistance provided by IPO Pakistan. At a meeting, Shah was also able to discuss the benefits for exports of the geographic designation. In the meeting, it was stated that no other nation could claim the Sindhri as well as Chaunsa types of mango apart from Pakistan.
