A plant storehouse that has the capacity of storing 4,000 tons is scheduled to be built within the Kyzylorda region, as per reports obtained from the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry reported by Kazinform News Agency. The storehouse will have five cooling chambers that can store as much as 800 tonnes. This project is expected to see the investment amounting to 1.2 billion Tenge.
Apart from the storage facility, the region is starting 11 investments in the coming year. This includes six initiatives focusing in the processing of crop output as well as the production of rice, as well as two irrigation schemes. From these seven, seven are in the process of being commissioned including a chicken meat plant that has a capacity of 45 tonnes and a dairy farm commercially capable of handling 1,000 tonnes. Additionally, two businesses have increased their cultivation of corn area to 1,184 hectares through using water-saving techniques.
The implementation of these initiatives will help improve Kazakhstan’s food security as well as increase the export capabilities of its agricultural product.
