There are fewer apple production volumes coming from Iran this time of year

Iranian apple varieties are gaining traction on the market. Hadi Mirzaei, CEO of Darya Noosh Payab Trading, anticipates a booming campaign, despite the fact that volumes are down this year.

The producer says: “We had a cold spring and winter in Iran that slowed the yield of apples. However, I am able to assure buyers that we’ve sufficient apples to meet the demands of any market. There is no dearth of Iranian apple, and there will be no changes in the packaging that ranges from four to 10 kilograms.”

As per the company’s exporter Iran is not the sole country that is suffering from a decrease in its yield due to changes in the climate. According to him “Our neighbours also have less apples and concurrence shouldn’t be too hard. It is also possible to depend on local Iranian demand, which is a factor heavily in determining the prices. Overall, the season is likely to start by bringing prices up from last season.”

Mirzaei says that “market survey results and feedback we’re receiving suggest that international market demand is very high that will lead to a bigger export volume than in the last year”.

The campaign, however, faces significant challenges that impact all exports from Iran’s agriculture. Mirzaei says: “It’s not easy to procure packaging materials, transportation is another issue. But, we’ve lived through these issues for a long time. We’ve taken great care to ensure that we don’t fall in the dust, and are seeing positive results, and we’re changing year after year.”

“Payment remains a major issue on our midst, owing to the sanctions on economics that were imposed against Iran. We have a great deal of flexibility when conducting business in the international market. However, this can be abused by purchasers who act in untruth.”
