The exports of Chile’s blueberry grow by 7 percent amid shifts in the market

The blueberry industry in Chile is adaptable during the 2024-2025 period. The second week in 2025 Chilean Fruit Blueberry Committee reported that Chilean Fruit Blueberry Committee reported exports of 55,946 tonnes, which included 11,767 tons that were shipped out in the first quarter of 2025. The figure represents a 7% growth from 2023-2024 and a decline of 18% from 2022-2023.

Organic blueberry production is now 12 percent of the total exports. The week 2 organic exports topped 6,759 tonnes at a maximum of 1,855 tons in that week.

Continental Europe remains the primary market for Chilean blueberries. It accounts for 41% of the exports. In the United States follows with 35 percent. Meanwhile, South Korea and the United Kingdom contribute the remaining 8% and 7% and 7%, respectively.

These numbers are close to the Blueberry Committee’s estimates and show only a 2 percent variance from the initial estimates. This is a reflection of the industry’s strategic strategy and the capacity to tackle challenges like supply and demand fluctuation across the world as well as logistical challenges.

The blueberry industry in Chile continues to thrive, aided by the selection of varietals and organic expansion of production as well as market diversification. These aspects make Chile as an important market player on the world blueberry industry.
