The Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) and Africa Plantation Capital (APC) held a joint press conference today at the Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
Pictured is APC director Mr. Kostas Kioleoglou, the topic of discussion was the Plantation Partners Group mutual cooperation into sustainable Bamboo research and the development of Bamboo related industries in Kenya. Mr. Kioleoglou said that “Kenya has the perfect soil and climate for the cultivation of numerous Bamboo species, and that growing Bamboo will have a very positive impact on the Kenyan economy for both large and small scale farmers. In 2015 Global sales of Bamboo related products where valued at over US$50 Billion, and Kenya is in the prime position to take its share of this very lucrative market.
