Today, the Millenium Hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, opened its doors for the second day of HortiFlora. The three-day trade show will last till April 3, and so far, the organizers, HPP Exhibitions, are pleased with the first day and the start of the second day. With a record number of 140 exhibitors, this edition is the largest to date. This year, in addition to flowers, HortiFlora allocated more space for vegetables and fruits, including strawberries, beans, and other key crops.
20 years of development and growth
Dick van Raamsdonk of HPP Exhibitions, who organizes the event, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers Exporters Association (EHPEA), is proud of the progress made over the past two decades and how the trade fair has evolved, overcoming challenges such as event cancellations due to external factors. “The fair has grown alongside the industry itself, adapting to market demands and establishing itself as the premier platform connecting international buyers with Ethiopia’s top growers. It’s a true grower-buyer fair, bringing together the industry’s biggest and most established growers. The ability to meet so many suppliers in one place is invaluable, saving buyers both time and money.”
