Horticulture a key driver for future agricultural development

Tanzania places horticulture at the top of its list as one of the key drivers for the future of agriculture as per the Deputy Minister Stanislaus Nyong’o. The sector is a major employer of youngsters and women and is essential to employment creation, increasing exports, as well as improving the security of food. Horticulture has been growing by an average of 11% and contributes substantially to total agricultural expansion of 12%..

She also said that the business employs nearly 3000 people around the world and helps in the supply of food globally. The president of Enza Zaden highlighted its dedication to high-quality by adhering to international requirements for the production of seeds.
