In the Thakurgaon Sadar county Ruhia railway station, the local farmers have allowed their chili peppers in the shade of the rail lines. It’s a lovely photo that is worthy of sharing. More profit is derived when chilies are advertised as dry. So, from dawn to sunset the sacks of chilis that are ripe are spread out on mats, carpets and polythene both on the side of the railroad lines and on the floor for drying. After drying to a full extent and then preparation, the veggies can be sold.
In addition to indigenous varieties and hybrid varieties, a variety of pepper like cumin mallika, bindu and hotmaster, and mallika have been grown within the district.
