Yu Huiyong, chairman of Pagoda The company, has announced the acquisition in excess of 220,000 tons of Thai fruit, in collaboration with a variety of orchards as well as packaging manufacturing facilities located in Thailand. Pagoda also collaborates with the government to help promote the expansion of Thailand’s fruit sector across its supply chain. Furthermore, Pagoda runs over 200 tests of safety to ensure the safety of fruits and high-quality.
It is the Thai Fruit Festival in 2024 a co-operative collaboration by and the Department of Agriculture, the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing along with Pagoda hopes to promote Thai quality of fruit and increase the presence of Thai fruit within China via Pagoda’s extensive network that includes more than 6,000 outlets. The festival, which runs from May 8-14 in China and will include trips by Chinese media and influential figures to Thai orchards as well as packaging facilities located in Chanthaburi province.
Thailand that currently exports 22 varieties of fruit to China and hopes to grow the number of fruits exported, after the year where exports of fruits to China represented 90 percent of the total exports of fruit, with an amount of US$7.056 billion. That’s the equivalent of an 11.9 percent increase over the year before, with durian exports representing $4.566 billion. This is an 18.9 percent rise.
