Vietnam made US$1.1 billion in durian exports over the initial month of each year. That means that dragon fruit is not the nation’s top export product for fruit. This growth in exports eventually increased durian prices on the domestic market. In July, the cost of Ri6 durian rose by 7400 VND per kilogram, to VND80,000 per kilogram, as per the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The revenue from exports of the fruit is predicted to range from around US$1.2 billion up to US$1.5 billion in the coming year an increase of three times as much from the previous year. The astonishing increase could be explained by the increasing demands coming from China as helped by an agreement signed by the neighboring country on July 20, 2022.
