MART utilizes a systematic method by analyzing the data from three years of sales in order to determine stabilization money. In calculating requirements based on the monthly averages, MART ensures effective planning. When the season is not in full swing they identify and spread demands local. They currently have partnerships with 10 of the biggest retailers, which account for 50% of the retail market, MART secures a broad range of coverage. In the event of a particular region experiencing problems with its products the trade networks enter into deals with manufacturers from other regions to ensure a constant stock.
Ministry figures suggest that there will be storage capacity of 122,000 tonnes of vegetables and fruits during the off-season 2023-2024, which includes the carrots, potatoes, cabbage beets, apples and onions. MART implements measures such as export licenses in order to tackle problems with shortages and aims to have 100percent domestic production. In spite of the possibility of shortages in off-season (e.g. tomatoes and cucumbers, etc.) MART’s greenhouse modernization efforts are focused on meeting the demands in that time.
