Pakistan has launched an ambitious project to broaden its export market into Central Asian countries. While it is a major actor in the production of bananas producing around 216,000 tonnes, the currently estimated value of its exports stands at approximately $22.57 million.

To realize the export potential to its fullest and establish trade channels Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC) as well as the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) along with the unwavering assistance by the Pakistan Commercial Section in Almaty Kazakhstan they have secured an export request for 10 boxes of fresh bananas in the Tando Allahyar cluster to Almaty.
