The United States, the fall season has witnessed a rise in the sales of fruits and vegetables and a particular focus on the seasonal staples like the squash, apples as well as pomegranates and peaches by the retail stores. These products that are seasonal have witnessed an increase of 9% over the last year which saw fruit make up 48% of the advertising this week. Despite this however, prices have remained steady, including pie pumpkins and apple juice seeing increased prices of 16 percent and 29% rise over the previous year. There have however been declines in the cost of butternut squash as well as large pumpkins. They are both lower by 12 percent and 10%, respectively.
