Divine Flavor, in collaboration with Niabell Farms, will expand its selection of table grapes grown in California in the very first instance in July. The extension into Bakersfield, California will bridge the gap that exists between the close of Mexican harvest and beginning of South American imports–fulfilling an essential period for Divine Flavor’s continuous availability of top table grapes.
“Thanks to this partnership in partnership with Naibell Farms, we have come up with a method to become an all-year-round provider for table grapes,” says Divine Flavor’s chief sales officer, Carlos Bon. “We operate across the middle, early and the late regions of California and we use 100% of our own cultivars, with a focus on the most flavorful and fresher version of table grapes.”

Divine Flavor currently produces grapes in its vineyards located in Grupo Alta in Jalisco and Sonora, Mexico, which are harvested from April through July. It also has partnerships for grape growing across Peru, Chile, and South Africa which supply the label from November through April/May. However, it will be their first supply of grapes branded by in the United States.
“With our choice to cultivate grapes in California as well as partnering together with Niabell Farms, there is the same goal of mirroring the results we’ve seen from our vineyards throughout Mexico, Peru, and Chile which means that customers are able to enjoy exceptional varieties of grapes all year long,” Bon says. The planter will start packing to make the Divine Flavor brand starting mid-July after it approaches the Sonora, Mexico season concludes.
Sonora, that’s about half way through its season of grapes had a difficult beginning as it faced competition from other categories of fruit including berries, cherries and stone fruits, with tardy arrivals of grapes from Chile. However, Mexican table grapes are getting a boost when the Sonora agreement for grapes moves towards the latter half of June.
“It’s been an ups and down beginning of this Sonora season. We’re looking forward to the coming weeks since these are the weeks we begin picking our special kinds,” says Bon. “There will be plenty of discussion these coming months about Sweet Celebration, Sweet Globe and our dessert menu. Cotton Candy, Gummyberries, and Jellyberries.”
Divine Flavor has one of the newest ranches located that is located in Caborca, Sonora, that is expected to harvest the late Candy varieties through the early week of July.
