Tesco offers a vertically grown salads line in its stores all over the world.

Unbeleafable(r) The longest-lasting and award-winning brand of salads of vertical farms GrowUp has introduced the first ready-to-eat, packaged salad option to its selection of fresh, homegrown salads they launched this summer in Tesco shops all over the UK.

“We tried a variety of types of lettuce and the sorrel leaves were overwhelmingly loved for its tart flavor, bright citrus, which truly pack a strong, tasty punch. The Unbeleafable collection, we pride that we have created pre-cooked salads that are more delicious because they’re fresher and more crisp and last for longer than the average prepped salad. These vibrant greens will be the only packaged salad available in the market that has such distinct blend of spicy sorrel and sweet green, as well as green leaves adding a pop of colour.” adds Kate Hofman, founder of GrowUp.

“Our fresh leaves products are the latest chapter in our journey of providing better tasting food, but also better for the earth on the tables of our nation’s citizens. It’s just in time for the grilling season, and the sports-filled summer too.”

Tesco salad shop owner Emily Hampson shares, “We constantly seek to collaborate with companies that are innovative to introduce innovative products to our customers we have worked with Unbeleafable in the course of our Accelerator programme. We believe that customers will appreciate the flavor of these zesty baby leaves that are available in the salad aisles at certain Tesco locations.”

Unbeleafable means no wasted leaves which means more sustainable for the earth and a better value to consumers. The unbeleafable baby leaves are been launched in Tesco stores, and priced at PS1.50.

The collection of Unbeleafables was the first collection of salads to be introduced through a vertical-based farm within the UK’. It is growing to its maximum capacity, all products made on the farm will be produced with 94 percent less water than conventionally packaged salads.

It is a fact that lettuce leaves of the Unbeleafable salad selection will last longer naturally solves the major issue of food waste associated with packaged salads. Research done by Unbeleafable** has revealed that 98 percent of customers are able to throw out bags of salads, and 39% say that they do it often or frequently.
