The distinctive environment of Zhenning is characterized by a lack of sunlight, abundant rainfall and broad diurnal temperature variations which creates the ideal setting for plums to grow with a distinct, honey-like taste. Honey plums are grown throughout the county encompasses 14500 ha, and generates an annual value greater than 3 billion dollars ($420 millions).
Liu Dan, deputy head of the Guizhou Chamber of Commerce in Thailand highlighted the significance in the Belt and Road Initiative and the bilateral cooperation between government officials in increasing the market for Guizhou’s products in Thailand. Liu’s remarks were made in the course of a visit to Thailand organised by the Guizhou provincial government at the beginning of May.
