Soleil Farm grows melons on their farm located in Bac Bin in Binh Province in Vietnam. It is a region with a lot of sun hours as well as a fertile soil. The firm has invested in the construction of greenhouses there.
There are two primary types: SunOrange, an Pansy flesh melon that is orange and SunGold an orange pansy flesh skin melon with a yellow color, because of the weather and favorable growth conditions it is possible to have 4 crop cycles per year.
“Soleil Farm” was founded in 2023. Until now, we’ve constructed 29 greenhouses using standard irrigation systems from Israel on 30+ acres, and we have constantly expanded to satisfy demand and have produced several delicious, high-quality melons,” explains Than Ngan of the firm.
“Melons adjust to dry, warm and well-lit climates. The best time for the growth of cantaloupe runs from February through September. The time of summer in Vietnam between May and July is a great season to harvest many tasty and premium melons.”
In the past few years, Vietnamese consumers have begun to be more attentive to their overall health. They have invested a significant amount of their time and money in foods that are healthier including fruit, which has a high amount of nutrients.
“Pansy Melon is one of the fruit that is favored by Vietnamese people due to its delicious sweetness. It is refreshing and high in calcium and vitamin A which is good for your health. The majority of melons sold in the Vietnamese market aren’t able to guarantee the high quality, and there are a few brands of melon which have put money into design and appearance, as well as the quality of their products. We at Soleil Farm, we see this as an opportunity create and provide high-quality agricultural products that are produced in accordance with the standards of Global GAP and GRASP. We hope to supply international markets. Not only with melons, but also other Vietnamese local fruits soon.”
Soleil Farms already exports melons to Cambodia because of the proximity as well as the high demand. consumption in Cambodia is very high as per Than it is expected to continue growing and the retailers and hypermarkets are promoting melons to the public.
“The rising demand for and the consumption of melons within our domestic market is on the upswing although it could be difficult at times. The expansion of export markets will provide new opportunities to Soleil Farm to develop further. We will be motivated to continue to increase the popularity of Pansy melons with hopes of providing quality Vietnamese melons to international consumers.”
