South Korea: 7-Eleven test delivery robots on South Korea
Global convenience store 7-Eleven is beginning the trial of a delivery robot that will be available in South Korea in conjunction with Neubility the South Korean startup.
7-Eleven announced that the trial will continue until the end of October at two locations. One is near Konkuk University in eastern Seoul while the other is in south Seoul.

Statistics from the industry show that German discounters were one of the top-performing retailers in the UK during the past twelve weeks, with Aldi sales soaring 24.6 percent on one year ago and Lidl increasing by 23.2 percent.

Britain has imposed fines on over 200 businesses that include the top-rated retailers WH Smith, Marks & Spencer and Argos, over their failure to pay their least paid employees the minimum wage during 2017 and. US: NYC grocery stores are fighting the proposed ban on facial recognition
Grocery stores located in New York City oppose a legislation that limits the applications in facial recognition technology according to the company, as they believe that these algorithms will reduce theft. The proposal, presented before the city council in the month of June, asks companies to notify customers of their rights and to obtain written consent prior to using biometric identification to identify them. If they do not, they could face the possibility of a fine of $5,000.

US: Puregold acquires a several DiviMart supermarkets
Puregold Price Club Inc. purchased a variety of DiviMart supermarkets and plans to expand them further into the name-brand supermarket chain. The announcement was made in a public announcement that was sent to Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
