Bikurei Sadeh explores fruit and vegetable imports from Georgia

A group of representatives from Bikurei Sadeh, a premier logistics company in Israel has recently taken the trip to Tbilisi to look into possible partnerships with Georgia in the area of importation of produce and other vegetables. The company is currently studying Georgia’s capabilities in agriculture and has been in contact with a variety of Georgian legislative bodies, including the Agrarian Affairs Committee as well as the Friendship Group with the Israeli Knesset. The talks have been focused around possible trade collaboration and transfer of startup-related knowledge.

Ilan Sheva, the director and the founder of Bikurei Sadeh, has announced his intention of establishing an Georgian department in the business to evaluate the prospects for agriculture and the growing season in Georgia. A preliminarily-formed team of members representing Bikurei Sadeh Neumann Group, and Agro G.I has been assembled in this regard.

The Georgian parliamentarians, including Gela Samkharauli as well as Givi Mikanadze have pledged aid to local entrepreneurs and farmers in ensuring that the quality of their produce is in line with Israeli standard of market.
