ADK Export Import Co. Grow and export various varieties of exotic fruits and limes along with spice and nuts. One of the most important export products is dragon fruit that grows throughout Vietnam’s Southern Binh Thuan province.

“As we have our own orchards of dragon fruit, we also contract with other high-quality growers to supply the fruit we need for export. The fruit is then packed and stored in our packaging shed prior to exporting to our primary markets, which are Asia as well as Asia and the Middle East,” explains Anna Nguyen, Sales Executive at ADK. “We export on average approximately 480 40’RF container per year.”

Many growers are cultivating dragon fruits within Vietnam and Anna explained that in general exporters and farmers are working together in order to export items. Each has their specific roles and responsibilities and therefore there is not any competition, but instead cooperation.

Dragon fruit is hot and warmer-temperature plant that is suitable for humid regions like those in southern Vietnam. The soil used to grow dragon fruit should be well-drained, clean and full of nutrients. Dragon fruit trees also requires special attention, in particular plenty of shade and water in order so that the tree can grow and is productive.

“With the advancement of technology and science numerous techniques and intensive farming techniques were employed to grow dragon fruits Self-irrigation systems; remote monitoring and control and also the usage of artificial light sources.”

“Applying technologies and lighting to help grow dragon fruit is not only beneficial to productivity, it can also help improve product quality and productivity by reducing the risks posed due to uncertain climate conditions.”

ADK grows limes as well for export. The main growth regions are in west provinces of Vietnam including Long An, Dong Thap, Tra Vinh. “We export on average approximately 10 40’RF containers a month. We also export limes along with other fruits within a 40RF container. The main market we export to for limes is in the Middle East.”
