The Turkish the pomegranate and citrus seasons has been extremely positive this year, according to Akin Soyleyen who is the marketing director for Turkish exporter of fresh fruits and vegetables Aksun: “As a citrus exporter located in Turkey we are very pleased to be able to report the results of our program for citrus this year and the outstanding high-quality of the pomegranates we produce. Turkish citrus is an option that is trusted in international markets. We’ve observed a stunning harvest of pomegranates that is vibrant in color with a large and impressive size. an aroma that really makes a statement.”
Aksun is investing in enhancing the logistical and packaging side of its business even more Soyleyen says. “Our operations are firmly grounded in the local environment starting from the orchards and ending at the packing house. We’ve also intensified our focus on top quality packaging, and have optimized our logistics to accommodate the changing requirements of our global customers. Through focusing on innovation and consistency We’re enhancing our relationship with customers who appreciate the high quality of Turkish product.”
Because of difficulties in logistics, Aksun has opted to look at other markets besides the Asian one. As Soyleyen explains: “With the stronger Turkish Lira, we’ve chosen to maintain a stable and methodical approach to our trade programme. Our focus is on investing in specific areas in order to increase efficiency and ensure an ongoing export plan as well as ensure the stability of the operations we conduct. Due to the current world challenges, like those posed by the Suez Canal blockage, we have adjusted, reducing the amount of goods shipped that travel to Far East Asia, considering the length of transit and the potential delay this route can cause. This lets us focus on the markets that allow us to provide our products with the highest efficiency and quality.”
It’s overall been an great season for Aksun and they’re looking towards the future, which is 2025. “This season’s successes highlight the significance of being resilient and innovative thinking in the current world. We’re excited to announce the outcomes of our efforts and are looking at building upon this momentum for the years in the years to come,”” Soyleyen concluded.
