Addverb announces a partnership together with PekaKroef within the Netherlands

Addverb the world’s largest firm that specializes in robotics and warehouse automation, recently announced its collaboration together with PekaKroef located in Odiliapeel within the Netherlands. This is an important move towards automating the logistics operations, introducing an controlled pallet warehouse to store goods as well as Goods-to-Person-order picking.

Peka Kroef is a family firm that is a specialist in chilled and fresh potato products. Since the year 1970, they’ve continuously pushed the limits of their product and manufacturing processes to offer their clients with a better experience that means more fresh products, easier to use and more delicious products.

The cutting-edge technology of Addverb will revolutionize the operations of logistics at PekaKroef. It boasts a storage density of 3.1 pallets per square meter, this technology will aim to increase the speed of picking by four times. It will greatly streamline pallet order fulfillment processes, and improve general efficiency. It will also allow PekaKroef to fulfill its delivery promises to B2B clients.

It incorporates flexible solutions like 4 way pallet shuttles that allow transporting pallets, rail-guided vehicles (RGVs) to ensure efficient, fast pallet transportation; as well as workstations that facilitate the process of picking, increasing efficiency and accuracy. The seamless link between the manufacturing facility as well as the storage and retrieval system can assure smooth and efficient operation.

The CEO of PekaKroef, Edwin Holleman highlighted the partnership in a statement, saying “This system will transform the capacity of our storage by increasing the efficiency of space, which will allow us to expand the range of our products and integrate new business areas.
