A total of $68 million in Washington cherries are set to travel from Sea-Tac Airport to Asia

Big jets are at the heart of the business of Washington cherries. According to the Port of Seattle said 152 cargo flights would focus on transporting one of Washington major crops of the state throughout the Pacific.

This year, $68 millions of cherries are anticipated to depart from SEA. The largest crop of cherries is the product shipped from the airport. When they are at their peak, SEA will see nearly three times the typical quantity of cargo planes for the purpose of getting cherries to retailers throughout Asia. On the occasion, Verdonk stated: “Food is a very vital aspect of India trade with the US which is why I am happy that fresh-picked cherry from the Pacific Northwest are now added to the basket. I’m sure that Indian customers will be delighted by the flavor and quality of these fruits that are regarded as among the top worldwide.”

The US is among the most prolific exporters and producers of cherries that are sweet. Keith Hu, NWCG Director of International Operations, noted that the cherry come from in the US Pacific Northwest are grown in the states of Washington, Oregon Idaho, Utah and Montana And consumers around the world enjoy their delicious taste as well as their larger size and better quality. “I am delighted to find NW cherries on the Indian market in India.”
