A surge in Chinese exports of fruits in the town of Priamurye

The first quarter of 2023 The Priamurye area has seen an astonishing increase in importation of Chinese pineapples in the region, increasing 9 times. More than 176 tons of Chinese pineapple passed through the checkpoint Kani-Kurgan in China towards Priamurye in the first half of 2023.

The rise in imports of fruits from China into the region could be explained by the start of the Kani-Kurgan logistic and customs terminal 2023.

The experts from Rosselkhoznadzor have noted a notable growth in the importation of fresh fruits. In comparison to 2022, pineapple imports increased by nine times the mandarins’ volume by fifteen times as well as oranges, four times and lemons five times.

In the past, Rosselkhoznadzor has monitored the import of around 40,000 tonnes of vegetable and fruit products coming from China up to Priamurye. Control measures that are effective assure that imported goods conform to the standards required and are in compliance with quarantine rules.
