A plant worth $23 million is planned to handle berries and produce in the Sokuluk district Kyrgyzstan

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved an agreement for investment in partnership with San Planet International LLC to create a berry, fruit processing plant for vegetables and fruits within the Chuy Region. The announcement was made in a decision published on December 24, 2024.

The plant, situated within the Sokuluk District, will process around 12,000 tonnes of raw material annually. It will also make more than 70 different kinds of final items. The overall investment in the plant is greater than $23.4 million.

The building will be constructed on an 1.5-hectare piece of land belonging to “San Planet International.” The land in Kyrgyzstan’s Chuy region was classified as industrial land instead of agricultural utilization by a decree from the government in order to allow for the construction.
