A new organic citrus production firm was established

The Valencian firm Grupo Clasol has partnered with Andalusian firm Frutas Sol y Sabor to form Clasol Bio SL, a brand new company devoted to the production of organic citrus fruits.

By taking this move, Grupo Clasol strives to fulfill the demands for organic goods with a broader selection of products to customers. The group owns 250 hectares of owned land with an additional 187 acres dedicated to organically grown oranges, along with the warehouse located situated in Palma del Rio, and it’s positioning itself as a producer of organic oranges, providing the full range of citrus products to customers.

“For several years, Sol y Sabor has been our most exclusive source for organic oranges. The time has come for us to take it a step further and launch Clasol Bio, which will operate and be controlled by both sides, and both in terms of marketing and production administration, and will incorporate all aspects of Clasol Bio into the group,” says Cesar Claramonte who is the CEO of Grupo Clasol.

The seven and a-half million kilograms of organic oranges this new firm can provide can be divided into various types: Navelina, Salustiana, Navel Late, Navel Powel, Valencia Late and Navel Cara Cara, thus covering all the schedule of supply.

“This production capacity does not just meet demands of the market today however, it also acts as an affirmation of the company’s commitment to organic agriculture, and assures the quality of citrus fruits, which are grown according to strict organic standards.” declares Cesar Claramonte.

The new venture underscores Grupo Clasol’s ongoing progress in development. The group was already part of into the San Alfonso cooperative this year and has already planted 2,750 acres of land and anticipates it to earn at least 240 million euros during the financial year 24/25.

“We began the process of operation integration process together with San Alfonso in July this year. It could be said that the current citrus season is the first one with the group having the responsibility for 100 percent of the sales. And that is also true concerning the management of manufacturing and facilities. The coming season will be quite a challenge” claims Cesar Claramonte.
